The Baileys Senior Soft & Lite 20kg is a specialised feed formulated for older horses and ponies, particularly those who are easy keepers or have dental challenges. This low-starch, reduced-calorie blend (starch 8%, sugar 3%) is gentle on the digestive system, making it suitable for horses with PPID (Cushing’s) or those prone to laminitis (unless overweight).
This feed contains a high-fibre mix, including Prealpine meadow grasses and highly digestible superfibres, designed to supply slow-release calories. This variety of fibres also supports a balanced gut microbiome, promoting digestive health and encouraging microbial diversity.
Senior Soft & Lite is fortified with proteins essential for muscle maintenance and tissue repair, addressing the age-related loss of muscle tone and top line. It also includes essential vitamins and minerals, as well as micronised linseed and soya oil, to support a shiny coat and overall wellbeing.
