Dengie Alfa-A Oil is one of the best conditioning fibre feed for horses and ponies.
Dengie Alfa-A Oil provides the same amount of slow release energy compared to a conditioning or competition mix, but it contains 10 times less starch. This makes it suitable for horses prone to digestive upsets, or those that behave erratically after feeding. Alfalfa used in this mix has been dried at a very high temperature, this reduces the risk of mould dramatically & the extraction processes mean a low dust content is consistent through the range.

FEEDING GUIDE:

- Feeding 1.5kgs per 100kgs bodyweight will provide 1.5% of the horse’s bodyweight as forage per day on an as fed basis.

Dengie Hi-Fi Original is made from alfalfa which is high temperature dried - locking in the natural goodness - and then blended with quality soft straw to provide a high fibre ration.
Dengie Hi-Fi Original provides horses & ponies with approximately 8 Mj/kg of digestible energy making it suitable for horses & ponies at rest or those in light work. Hi-Fi LITE is ideal as the sole bucket feed for horses and ponies that are overweight and prone to laminitis. It can be fed alongside a broad-spectrum supplement, such as one of the Dengie Natural Vitality Vits & Mins or alternatively a feed balancer such as Alfa-A or Hi-Fi Balancer to provide a balanced diet. Where additional condition is needed, or for those horses with a higher energy requirement, Dengie Alfa-Beet or Alfa-A Lite can be added. Hi-Fi Lite can also be fed as a hay replacer. Naturally lower in sugar than hay, Hi-Fi Lite can be fed on a weight for weight basis as a low sugar alternative to hay or haylage. Hi-Fi Lite is a short 'chop' that takes as long to chew as the equivalent weight of hay or haylage, helping to keep horses occupied and satisfied. For horses on restricted grazing, Hi-Fi Lite is ideal as it delivers sufficient fibre to maintain gut function. Dengie Hi-Fi Lite contains: Cereal Straw, Alfalfa Molasses, Mould Inhibitor.

Dengie Performance Fibre for fit, athletic horses which are typically picky and therefore difficult to feed. This is a high energy fibre feed that encourage the fussiest of feeders. The inclusion of grass, alongside nutrient rich alfalfa, provides a natural sweetness that's complemented by a light molasses coating and added spearmint oil to offer a highly palatable, soft and easy to chew, high fibre feed. Performance Fibre is a straw-free formulation which means it is more digestible and cleaner. Based on alfalfa which is a natural buffer to acidity-great for maintaining gastric health. A great source of quality protein for top line and muscle tone. Alfalfa is a rich source of natural vitamins and minerals that are easy for the horse to absorb. Naturally low in starch and contains just 10% sugar, which is comparable to grass hay. The high level of oil provides slow release energy and helps to create exceptional coat shine.

Feeding Rate
Add 0.5-1 scoop per feed when feeding alongside mixes and cubes. Feed up to 3kgs per day when using a supplement or balancer. The amount required will be determined by body condition score i.e. feed underweight horses and ponies higher levels regardless of their size. Fibre feeds can be fed in large quantities without compromising gastric health.
